Cambridge helps to standardise English in Vietnam
17 March 2010
Adopting Cambridge ESOL exams has helped the The Department of Education and Training (DOET) in Dongnai to standardise their English, according to Mr Le Minh Hoang the Director of DOET.
Speaking last month at an event to commemorate the 2nd Anniversary of working with Cambridge ESOL, Mr Hoang said: “Cooperating with Cambridge ESOL gives us a shortcut in standardising our English learning and teaching quality.”
Cambridge ESOL and DOET in Dongnai have been working together for the past two years to help raise the standard of English in Vietnam. As part of the agreement DOET administer a range of English language qualifications from Cambridge for varying levels to language centres and state schools in the Dongnai province. They also work closely with Cambridge ESOL to hold teacher training seminars throughout the region.
