Cambridge Day in Bucharest

More than 300 Romanian teachers from the state sector attended the Cambridge Day that took place in Bucharest on Saturday 27 February.
The day featured featured presentations on current developments at Cambridge ESOL such as a look at computer-based testing and some practical tips for exam preparation.
Mrs Pagulescu from the Ministry of Education also gave a talk on English language teaching and assessment and highlighted the participation of Romanian Ministry in the English Profile project. The British Council exam centre in Romania which offers a number of Cambridge ESOL exams were also also present and distributed information on exams registration. Following the inclusion of Cambridge ESOL in the list of English language qualifications that secure exemption from the Final High School exams in Romania, Cambridge ESOL together with British Council have conducted a series of presentations in schools and Education Fairs.
The event was jointly organised by Cambridge ESOL and Cambridge University Press.
