Learning comes first: Shifting the focus from examining to the curriculum

5 January 2012

Cambridge ESOL's parent, Cambridge Assessment, is hosting an event to debate why there has been a rise in awareness of the importance of curriculum coherence and what role exam boards, and other organisations, should have in shaping good curricula.

The event – on Tuesday 31 January 2012 at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster, London – will provide participants with an opportunity to explore the concept behind a curriculum or programme of learning, to discuss a qualification’s educational purpose, and to debate what makes a good education. Find out more and register for the event here.

To start the discussion, Cambridge Assessment asked several education experts to comment on the rise of curriculum thinking. Join in the debate and tell us what you think.
