Top German business school enrols Cambridge English into Masters programmes
03 March 2011
The Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is integrating a range of Cambridge English exams into its Master's programmes as part of a new drive to increase the English language ability of future graduates. From 2011, those enrolling onto the university's Master of Finance (M.Sc.) and Master of International Business (M.A.) courses will need to prove their English skills with a certificate in Cambridge English: Advanced or Proficiency - both high level English language qualifications set by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL). Language experts Cambridge ESOL welcome this move:
“By adopting Cambridge English throughout their Master's programmes, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management will help to ensure future students will have the right level of English language ability for study,” says Cambridge ESOL's Nicola Johnson. “Students entering programmes with Cambridge English under their belt will not only be able to cope with the linguistic demands of academic life, but they'll also have a head start once they've graduated.”
The Frankfurt School of Finance and Management's Masters programmes are both aimed at those seeking careers in related industries. They join more than 11,500 organisations around the world who use Cambridge English as a benchmark of English language ability. The school also accepts the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) as a minimum entry requirement on to their Masters programmes.
