Vietnam National University says yes to Cambridge English
9 March 2011
The Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City is the latest to join the 12,000 organisations around the world to adopt Cambridge English standards of language ability. From 2011, under-graduate- and post-grad students can prove their English language ability at the start and finish of their courses using Cambridge English: Key, Preliminary, First, Advanced and Proficiency. Cambridge ESOL's Business English Certificates (BEC) and BULATS are also accepted under the new scheme.
Uyen Pham, Cambridge ESOL's Marketing Manager for South East Asia welcomes this initiative:
'This is excellent news for students planning to study at the Vietnam National University. Cambridge English tests are an accurate indication of an individual's ability to use English in real-life situations. This means that students integrating Cambridge English into their university studies will be able to cope with the linguistic demands of higher education and have a head start after graduation.'
This new adoption follows a trend which is seeing more and more universities around the world using Cambridge English as a benchmark of language ability. To find out who recognises Cambridge ESOL, visit:
