English at School
Learning and Assessment in Primary Schools
12 - 14 June 2009
Objective/Purpose
English at School 2009 is a weekend event with the overarching theme of ‘Learning and Assessment in Primary Schools’. The event brings together those involved in policy design and the development of English in the compulsory education sector, from practitioners to policy makers themselves.
Presentations will include case studies from across the globe outlining the positive impact of assessment in the classroom and the successful integration of English language teaching into the primary curriculum.
During the weekend there will be numerous opportunities for networking. Participants will be able to explore and share knowledge, ideas and experience associated with all aspects of assessment and learning in the compulsory education sector.

The Møller Centre, Cambridge UK
The Møller Centre is a state-of-the art, purpose built conference centre forming part of Churchill College, University of Cambridge. Getting around Cambridge
Buses
Stagecoach Cambridge services 1, 3 and 7 run frequently between Cambridge rail station and the city centre, and there are a number of other operators. It is also possible to take a taxi from the queue just outside the station.
