Description
This seminar is intended for teachers of English at the A2 and B1 levels who are interested in taking a new approach in their daily lessons. Cambridge ESOL provides extensive support for teachers with material which is task-based and has a real-life focus. Cambridge ESOL exam preparation promotes communication skills in general and motivates pupils to participate naturally in class. Contents: In this seminar we will take a look at task types at the A2 and B1 levels which Cambridge ESOL gears towards candidates between the ages of 11 and 15. In the new exams KET for Schools and PET for Schools, Cambridge ESOL takes a practical approach using material particularly targeted at the interests and experience of this age group. Targets: To demonstrate how one can integrate these types of tasks into daily English lessons and at the same time fulfill the requirements of the school curriculum. Preparation for the for schools certificates can help to inspire your pupils' enthusiasm, give pupils the confidence to use their English, give weaker pupils credit for their communication skills and increase pupils' motivation to learn English.
