Frequently asked questions (FAQs) about becoming a CELTA trainer

How do you become a trainer-in-training for CELTA, and is there a course to apply to do this?

The only way to become a trainer-in-training is to undertake training at one of Cambridge ESOL's approved centres. To do this the centre would have to nominate you to do the training and submit your CV to Cambridge ESOL for approval. The training, if approved, would then be undertaken by your being involved in the running of one of our approved courses under the supervision of experienced staff at the centre. There is no other way that training can be undertaken other than via an application from one of our centres on your behalf. There is no free-standing trainer training course as such.
