You take Cambridge English exams at authorised Cambridge ESOL examination centres all over the world. Choose a centre and they will give you all the information you need in order to register for your exam, including entry costs and dates.

Can native English speakers take Cambridge English exams?
Yes. Although Cambridge English exams are designed for non-native speakers of English, no language-related restrictions apply.

Is there any age limit for taking Cambridge English exams?
There is no age limit on our exams. Candidates of any age are welcome to take our exams, although Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) contains some texts and tasks which are likely to be more suitable for candidates with a certain degree of maturity in their handling of abstract ideas and concepts.

There is no test centre in my country – what can I do?
You can only take Cambridge English exams through an authorised test centre so you will need to find a centre in a nearby country. There are 2,700 centres offering Cambridge English exams worldwide.

My local exam centre isn't running the exam I would like to take. What can I do?
Exam centres do not necessarily offer every available exam date. If your local centre is not offering the exam/date that you would like, you will need to travel to take your exam at a different centre. There are 2,700 centres offering Cambridge English exams worldwide.

Can I take a test online?
You can take Business Language Testing Service (BULATS) online and there are computer-based versions of many of our exams. You will still need to register with an authorised Cambridge ESOL exam centre in order to take your exam.

Yes, Cambridge ESOL is happy to try and make provisions for you. You should ask your centre to apply to the Cambridge ESOL Special Circumstances Unit.
