UCAS now allows students applying to UK universities for 2011 to gain UCAS Tariff points by achieving certain grades in Cambridge English: Advanced and Cambridge English: Proficiency.

Students applying to UK universities for 2011 can now gain UCAS Tariff points towards their application by achieving these grades in Cambridge English exams:

| Cambridge English: Proficiency | A | 140 points (Equivalent to an A* grade at A Level) |
| Cambridge English: Proficiency | B | 110 points (Equivalent to between A and B grade at A Level) |
| Cambridge English: Proficiency | C | 70 points (Equivalent to between C and D grade at A Level) |
| Cambridge English: Advanced | A | 70 points (Equivalent to between C and D grade at A Level) |
