KET, set at A2 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, is an elementary level exam which tests the ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications at a basic level. Holders of KET will have a level of English suitable to communicate simple requirements in a hotel and restaurant for instance and express typical personal information.
