Skills for Life Writing Entry 1-3 – Lists

 

Task Description

What do the candidates have to do?
The candidates have to write a list of between 5 and 10 items.

 

How do the candidates know what to write?
The rubric gives the candidates the purpose of the list and the type and number of items.

 

What is the purpose of this type of question?
This type of task is to assess Word level features only – key vocabulary, spelling and handwriting. It is only found at Entry Level, although there may be list elements in tasks at other levels.

 

How is the candidates' writing marked?
The writing is marked by trained markers using a general markscheme and task-specific notes. Since only Word features are assessed here, there is a maximum of 3 marks available.
