BEC Higher Writing Part 2

Task Description

What sort of input do students receive?

  • Students are given a rubric which consists of:
    • a brief description of the situation, possibly supplemented by an input text e.g. a notice or an advert
    • the target reader
    • the content points to be covered

  • There are three options to choose from:
    • a report
    • a proposal
    • a piece of business correspondence

What do students have to do?

  • Students have to choose one of the options.
  • They have to produce a piece of work which is about 200-250 words long based on the context and the instructions for content given in the question.
  • Their answer must cover all the bullet points given in the rubric.
