- Put students back to back and give them each a different graph.
- They have to describe the graph, giving the exact variables
(e.g. sales in thousands of units) and using the appropriate language
(e.g. climb steadily, fall dramatically) to the other student.
- Their partner then has to draw the graph.
- Point out that a graph showing statistics in the past has to
be described using a past tense, e.g. 'In 2001 prices rose considerably'.
- When students have finished this task, they should compare
the graphs they have drawn.
