Materials needed:

a graph from a past paper
|
- Put students into pairs or small groups and give them a number
of graphs taken from business magazines or some other source.
- Get them to write a plan, highlighting the key data and the
main trends for their graph. Give them no more than 5 minutes
for this activity.
- The graphs and plans should then be passed on to the next pair
for comment.
- Finally, ask the students to write a report on one of the graphs
for homework.
