- Put the class into pairs and write DOs and DON'Ts at the head of two columns on the board.
- Give the class two or three minutes to quickly think about some DOs and DON'Ts for the Listening test.
- Hand out one worksheet to each pair.
- Tell the class to decide whether each piece of advice in the list is a DO or a DON'T. Remind them that some advice is only relevant for particular parts of the Listening test.
- When they are ready, give out copies of the DOs and DON'Ts or show them on OHT so they can check their answers. Ask the class if they thought of any further advice or additional information which should be added to their lists.
- If possible, give each student a copy of the DOs and DON'Ts to keep.
