An Overview of ILEC Reading
Paper Format
The paper consists of a range of law-related texts and accompanying tasks. There are six Parts in all: Parts 1-3 focus on Use of English while Parts 4-6 focus on Reading.
Timing
1 hour and 15 minutes
Marks
Questions 1-36 (Use of English tasks) carry one mark each. Questions 37-54 (Reading tasks) carry two marks each.

Gapped text Cohesion, coherence, text structure, global meaning |
6 | A text from which sentences have been removed and placed in jumbled order after the text. Candidates must decide from where in the text the sentences have been removed. |

Multiple-choice Reading for detail, gist, opinion, implication and referencing |
