Task Description
What do candidates have to do?
Read two short texts and answer six questions to complete six gaps in each text, by choosing a word or phrase from four options A-D. The first text includes an example.
What texts are used?
Mainly extracts from reference books and law textbooks, legal websites, contracts, correspondence and other documents.
What is being tested?
Vocabulary and linking words and phrases.
What specific areas of language are relevant?
Collocations, fixed phrases, semantic precision, phrasal verbs and linkers.
How many marks are awarded?
12
