1. Print out the worksheet and make enough copies so that half
the class have the part labelled Student A and half have Student
B. You may want to allow some time for students to go through
their worksheets together, to check that they understand and can
pronounce everything that is written there.
2. Pair the students so that there is one person with Student
A and one with Student B in each pair.
3. Explain that the task is to match each word on student sheet
A with a phrase on sheet B.
4. A student with A chooses a word from her/his worksheet and
reads it aloud. A student with B selects the phrase on his/her
sheet which corresponds and reads it out.
5. If both agree that it is a match, each student writes down
the relevant information on their sheet (Student A, key words
from the definition and on Student B, the actual word). They can
also practise spelling at this point.

Paper 1. Other lists of words can be taken from other past papers.
