KET Reading and Writing Part 4
Task Description
In this task, candidates read a text and answer seven questions.
What texts are used?
Adapted newspaper and magazine articles of a factual nature.
What skill is being tested?
The ability to read for main ideas and to pick out detail.
What kind of questions are they?
The questions will be either 3-option multiple choice, or Right,
Wrong, Doesn't Say.

in the text?
- Did finding the answer to each question involve finding a single

first, and then the question, or the other way around?
