KET Reading and Writing Part 5
Task Description
In this task, candidates complete a 3-option multiple-choice cloze
passage.
What texts are used?
Factual texts such as articles from newspapers and magazines and
extracts from simple encyclopaedias.
What is being tested?
Candidates' knowledge of grammatical structure and usage in the
context of a reading text.
What kind of task is it?
Candidates have eight gaps in the text to fill. They must choose
the correct word for the gap from the three options given.
