Lesson Plan Components

Aim:

to help trainees become more familiar with the principles, ingredients and formats of lesson planning

Target Audience:

 teacher trainers/candidates

Relevance to TKT:

Module 2 Part 1

Organisation:

pair or group work

Materials needed:

Worksheet A ; Worksheet B
  1. Give trainees a copy of worksheet A and explain that it is a teacher's spoken report of a lesson.

  2. Ask the trainees to format the description into a lesson plan using the template in worksheet B. Emphasise that trainees don’t need to discuss timings for each stage.

  3. Feedback as a class, discuss any issues that arise and go through the answers.
