Give the trainees in groups copies of the worksheet, which contains about 12 feedback comments to adults on written or oral work, focusing on progress, behaviour, language, attitude to learning or ideas.
Trainees sort the comments according to their focus, e.g. progress, behaviour etc.
Give students the answers and summarise with the class the different focuses that feedback can have.
Elicit/discuss the purposes of giving feedback.
Notes/Variations:
Ask trainees to rewrite the 12 comments to make them suitable for young learners.
