The latest edition of Studies in Language Testing is now available.
Volume 19 IELTS Collected Papers: Research in speaking and writing assessment, brings together ten research studies conducted between 1995 and 2001 under the auspices of the British Council/ IELTS Australia Joint-funded Research Program.
The studies provided valuable test validity evidence and directly informed the revised IELTS Speaking and Writing tests introduced in 2001 and 2005.
This collection of papers, edited by Lynda Taylor and Peter Falvey, also chronicles the evolution of the Writing and Speaking tests in ELTS/IELTS from 1980 to the present day and discusses the role of research in their development.
