Plenary speakers announced for ALTE 2008

On 10-12 April 2008, The Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) will hold its 3rd International Conference at the University of Cambridge, hosted by Cambridge ESOL.

ALTE 3rd International Conference, Cambridge 2008ALTE Cambridge 2008 will be a multilingual event for all professionals with an interest in language assessment and associated issues.

The theme of the conference will be The Social and Educational Impact of Language Assessment and this key event is intended to form a bridge between language assessment and the worlds of education, sociology, culture and economics. ALTE Cambridge 2008 will feature keynote papers from plenary speakers that, together with other papers and forums, will create a dynamic convergence of ideas.

  • Professor Tim McNamara
  • Professor James E Purpura
  • Dr Lynda Taylor

A call for papers has opened; those selected will have a unique opportunity to present their papers to an audience of leading theorists and practitioners within the field of language assessment from around the world.
