USA says yes to IELTS
Recognition of IELTS (International English Language Testing System) by institutions in the USA is increasing significantly.
Until recently, to apply to a US university you had to take a US English language test. The rapid rise of IELTS is increasing opportunities in the US for students from other countries – the exam is available in 120 countries worldwide.
More than 1,100 US higher educational institutions now accept IELTS as proof of English language skills, including Ivy League colleges. Professional bodies representing major US employers have also seen its potential.
